The future is now – and it’s increasingly green.
With a worldwide commitment to lowering gas house emissions and improving the health of our planet, the pressure to go green in commercial transportation is moving at warp speed.
The trend is clear. According to a recent Navigant Research Report, hybrid and electric powertrain populations in commercial vehicles will increase, with volumes expected to grow from about 125,500 today to 1.66 million over the next decade.
For its part, Stertil-Koni takes these green initiatives very seriously and is already at the forefront of the environmentally friendly revolution.
The company’s mobile column lifts and inground systems meet the challenge. The EARTHLIFT is widely recognized to be the first green hydraulic wireless mobile column lift in the industry. Its columns are made from 98% recyclable materials, a closed hydraulic system contains 100% recyclable bio-degradable fluid and batteries and it employs an Active Energy Retrieval System delivering 35% more lifting cycles at maximum load – thus reducing the need for charging and increasing shop productivity.
What’s more, Stertil-Koni inground lifts are ahead of the trend – the ECOLIFT offers high-pressure, low volume cylinders requiring only 3.5 gallons of hydraulic fluid each, thereby reducing its carbon footprint. In addition, the DIAMONDLIFT requires a mere 4.5 gallons of biodegradable hydraulic fluid per piston, and its “cassette” version, has DiamondGuard protection, to thwart corrosion while ensuring that hazardous fluids are contained.
Stertil-Koni is meeting the new challenge head-on: 2018 will be a year of tremendous opportunity in terms of improving the environment while serving its customer base at the same time. Noted company president, Dr. Jean DellAmore, “At Stertil-Koni, we’re excited about the opportunity and ready to make substantive contributions to this effort in the year ahead.”
