Stertil-Koni Salutes President Biden's "American Rescue Plan"

STEVENSVILLE, MD, January 25, 2021

– Heavy duty vehicle lift leader Stertil-Koni today announced that it fully supports President Joe Biden’s recently proposed “American Rescue Plan,” which would allocate $20 billion in relief for what the president termed “the hardest hit public transit agencies.”

According to the Biden administration: “Safe and dependable public transit systems are critical for a robust and equitable economy recovery.” The administration also stated that this relief “will keep agencies from laying off transit workers and cutting the routes that essential workers rely on every day…”

Also signaling its support was the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) which, in a  statement noted: “The American Public Transportation Association (APTA), on behalf of the entire public transportation industry, applauds the incoming Biden administration for recognizing the critical needs of our industry. The proposed emergency transit funding included in the American Rescue Plan is vital to the industry’s survival and will help prevent massive labor cuts and drastic service reductions.” The APTA represents a $74 billion industry that directly employs 435,000 people and supports millions of private sector jobs.
