Heavy Duty Vehicle Lifts For Military Applications

07/09/2013 | 2013

Proudly Serving the U.S. Military

As the world leader in heavy duty vehicle lifts, Stertil-Koni proudly supports the U.S. Military by providing mobile column lifts that are ideally suited for servicing light, medium and heavy tactical vehicles both domestically and abroad. Our most popular Military lift is the Stertil-Koni ST 1082—available directly from our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Streator, Illinois.

Balance, Power, and Stability

Stertil-Koni’s heavy duty hydraulic mobile column lifts are designed for military applications. Our mobile columns offer a standard 14” forks that are up to 2” longer than other standard lifts and provide optimum dimensions for lifting large vehicles with 1600Rx 20 inch tires. Each Stertil-Koni mobile column lift is capable of lifting 16,500 lbs. - 40,000 lbs. per column. When combined in sets of two, four, six or more, the lifting capacity dramatically multiplies to steadily accommodate longer and heavier applications up to 160,000 lbs. or more.

Wireless Control, Long-Lasting Power Supply and Ultimate Security

The Stertil-Koni wireless lifts feature key advantages over traditional, cabled lifts.

The Stertil-Koni mobile column lifts are capable of operating wirelessly, using ZigbeeTM wireless communications between columns. Unlike Bluetooth technology, it isZigbeeTM was designed specifically for industrial communications and mechanical operations. Not only is ZigbeeTM wireless technology effective and reliable it is also already trusted and utilized by the U.S. Military.

Stertil-Koni's heavy duty mobile column lifts are fully mobile and easily deployable, without the trip hazards caused by loose cables on less sophisticated lifts. Further adding to the safe mobility of Stertil-Koni’s line of mobile lifts, is the location of the powerunit, mounted in the centerof the column rather than the top. This keeps the center of gravity closer to the ground, providing more agile maneuverability as the column is moved through the shop or to new locations.

Our family of mobile columns can be conveniently powered by rechargeable NSN6140 01 4575469 batteries.Commonly referred to as Optima “Yellow Tops”, these batteries are readily available on most military bases and are recharged by our integrated battery charger using a standard 110V wall outlet.

Performance, Durability & Safety

Stertil-Koni mobile column lifts are hydraulically powered and significantly faster than non-hydraulic lifts. Our lift only takes 89 seconds to reach its maximum height of 73”—comfortable for even the tallest of technicians—making it the tallest lift in the industry and one of the fastest mobile lifting columns in the world. Our hydraulic cylinder rod is not subject to damage from the elements and is protected from contamination from water, dust, oil or other corrosives.

In terms of safety, Stertil-Koni's hydraulic mobile column lifts go above and beyond the minimum industry standard by providing gravity activated safety locks that mechanically engage every 1.3 inches.Compare that to 3 - 4.5 inches on other column lifts, or to spindle lifts which only engage their safety locks in a catastrophic failure. Thus, Stertil-Koni's column lifts are the safest mobile column lifts in the industry. To provide even more safety and convenience, Stertil-Koni also offers standard a "park on lock function" that mechanically locks the mobile column lifts at any desired height.

Our lifts are third-party tested and validated by ALI/ETL-Intertek.Stertil-Koni also certifies virtually all of our lift accessories to ensure a safe, reliable lifting system.
