Stertil-Koni Places in Top 20 Fundraising Teams

This past weekend, amongst a sea of people decked out in all shades of pink, Stertil-Koni’s 18-member team, Stertil Koni: Lifting for Life, gathered to support an important cause – the fight against breast cancer.

Over the past three decades, the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) fundraising walk has united communities, companies, and individuals and has grown into the nation’s largest and most impactful breast  cancer movement.

This year, Making Strides events took place in more than 150 communities nationwide. Stertil-Koni participated in the Baltimore, MD, event, looping around Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium (with dance breaks at each DJ booth by our very own Amelia Cox).

During the leadup to the event, our team was able to raise $2165, which Stertil-Koni generously matched, making our total donation $4,330 and securing us a spot in the top 20 teams – placing 14th out of 499 teams!

We want to thank our donors for their generous contributions, and of course, our Lifting for Life team who woke up early on a chilly Saturday to come together for this special event. Joining team leaders and organizers Kate Edwards and Keli Kirby for the walk were Amelia Cox, Jackie Cullison, Doug Frakes, Emmaleigh Gibbs, Tammy Mitchell, Valerie Studivant, Julie Thomas, and friends and family.
