Freezin' for a Reason in 2024!

02/29/2024

Props to the Stevensville employees of heavy duty vehicle lift leader Stertil-Koni, as well as their friends and families, who together took a dip in the frigid Chesapeake Bay waters at Sandy Point State Park for the 2024 Maryland State Police Polar Plunge.

Participating in the corporate portion of the event for the ninth consecutive year, the 20-member-strong Stertil-Koni USA Inc. team was proud to raise funds for the Maryland Special Olympics. Joining organizer Kevin Hymers – in specially designed team shirts and beanies – were fellow Stertil-Koni employees Jackie Cullison, Tammy Mitchell, Rich Weinrich, Christina Eater, Amelia Andres, Christine Coulson, Keli Kirby, Julie Thomas, Emmaleigh Gibbs, Mike Nichols, and Robyn Collier.

At the 28th annual event in early February, more than 15,000 intrepid plungers braved the icy waters at the foot of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Their shared mission: to raise funds for sports and leadership programs benefiting 15,588 athletes and Unified® teammates of the Special Olympics Maryland. That's Freezin' for a Reason!
