Stertil-Koni recently faced its own Polar Vortex. We dipped and we dunked into the frigid Chesapeake Bay – for a great cause of course – the 23rd Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge supporting Special Olympics Maryland!
Participating for the third consecutive year, the intrepid Stertil-Koni team welcomed new plungers and grew to a record 13 accomplices. The crew donned swimsuits and specially designed hyper-fluorescent green shirts and knit caps as a symbol of unity and comradery. ![Stertil-Koni logo shirt Kevin Hymers](uploads/2019/02/kevins-back-with-sk-logo.JPG)
They definitely stood out in the crowd and were noticed by many, including representatives of the event’s beneficiary Special Olympics Maryland. Team Stertil-Koni posed for numerous photographs taken by complete strangers all in the name of generosity and good fun!![WBAL TV Stertil-Koni, heavy duty vehicle lifts](uploads/2019/02/corporate-plunge-sk-wbal-tv.JPG)
The audacious employees even caught the attention of local media. Stertil-Koni’s brightly colored ensemble was captured on WBAL-TV as the team’s noticeable sprint into the Chesapeake Bay took place. (44 sec. into the video.)
Here are some of the day’s best photos:
