The Write Stuff: Stertil-Koni Welcomes Journalism Pro, Jill Kubatko

The written word has always resonated with Stertil-Koni’s new Marketing Associate, Jill Kubatko. Ever since she was a child, it seems her calling was to put pen to paper, or nowadays, fingers to keyboard.

As a fourth grader in Oscoda, MI, Jill Zarend (Kubatko) was first published in the Detroit Free Press – an op-ed piece about industrial pollution in the Snake River in Southeast Michigan. While in high school in Brooklyn, MI, her artwork of a child standing in the snow was seen in The Exponent. 

Fast-forward and several occupations later, including becoming a journalist and editor, she changed careers and pursued public relations and marketing in the public and private sector.

Destiny and skill brought Jill Kubatko to Stertil-Koni. In her new position, she brings her expertise in journalism, marketing and communications – including news writing, marketing strategy, web content and management, social media, graphic design and administration.
