Heavy Duty Floor Pit Jack

Floor Pit Jack: Designed for Safety & Performance

Heavy Duty Floor Pit JackPROBLEM: There are tens of thousands of old pits situated throughout America's heavy duty maintenance shops. Unfortunately, many if not all of these pits do not have the proper means to allow mechanics to safely remove various sub-chassis components -- including transmissions, axles, exhaust and more. This leads to a situation where the pits are rendered virtually useless other than facilitating oil changes.

SOLUTION: Option one is traditional standard air hydraulic pit jacks with single or twin rams. These pit jacks are fitted with leaf spring support bearings for easy gliding along the pit floor. And now, for the first time in pit technology, there is another safe, high-performance option. Stertil-Koni has developed a Floor Pit Jack with a capacity of 30,000 lbs. This pit jack is designed to safely operate on pit floor surfaces, thereby not depending on pit edges, that are often not reinforced or sufficiently strong.

Features of the Stertil-Koni Model FPJ-150-F and FPJ-150-U include:

Capacity: 30,000 lbs.

Durability: both the piston rod and the pump piston are hard-chrome plated for the best protection against corrosion and water.

Fully hydraulic lifting unit: during every lifting and lowering movement, the cylinder is lubricated to protect against corrosion.

Foot pedal protection: Floor Pit Jacks are operated by tandem foot pedals.  One pedal quick extends the cylinder until it contacts the load to be lifted and then the second foot pedal allows fine lifting adjustment. This leaves the hands free for working on the vehicle or manipulation of other tools.

Safety: the carriage of the Floor Pit Jack is automatically lowered when handling loads of 1 ton or more. There is an integral locking brake to guarantees maximum stability.  The FPJ-150-U unit also includes a side shifting ability to greatly increase productivity.

Time-saving: the hydro-pneumatic quick lift rapidly moves the piston rod to the appropriate lifting point. In addition, the hydro-pneumatic forced return rapidly retracts the piston even when off-load. Effectively, the piston is "pulled" back into its rest position.
