Lifting Up our Wounded Veterans and Restoring Hope

09/29/2017

Heavy duty vehicle lift leader, Stertil-Koni, along with one of its top lift distributors, Alan Tye & Associates, (VA), are once again making a combined donation of $5,000, to the deserved veterans at Kentucky Wounded Heroes Foundation, a 501(c)3 Not For Profit Organization.

Wounded Heroes Foundation helps meet the needs of these wounded heroes and their families during the difficult recovery time by offering physical, emotional and financial support.  It is their mission to pay tribute to wounded heroes’ service by enhancing their recovery wherever possible.

Just as they did last year, Stertil-Koni and Alan Tye & Associates are each donating $2,500 to support the Kentucky Wounded Heroes Foundation, which aids the injured men and women of our Armed Forces who served in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world.

Their traumatic injuries, which include vision and hearing loss, amputations, gunshot wounds, burns, and blasts, have retired these proud, brave warriors from the very military service that has until now defined them.

“We are pleased to work together with our distributor, Alan Tye, in recognizing these men and women who have given so much,” noted Stertil-Koni president, Dr. Jean DellAmore. “By helping veterans to connect with others who have shared experiences, their lives can become richer and we hope that they develop a renewed sense of confidence, community, hope, and joy.”

Alan Tye first heard about the good work of Kentucky Wounded Heroes through a friend in Alaska, John Evans, who has volunteered with the group’s annual trip to that state, during which they bring disabled veterans to enjoy some of the wildest nature America has to offer.

“What really caught my attention is that 100 percent of their funds go directly to helping those in need,” Tye said of Kentucky Wounded Heroes. “We look forward to working with Chuck Reed, president of the Kentucky Wounded Heroes, as we together endeavor to protect our service members’ American Dream as they have ensured ours.”

Through activities like fishing trips to Alaska, deer hunt and canoeing in Kentucky, meeting the Duck Dynasty folks, and attending sporting events, Wounded Heroes are building lasting friendships and finding healthy ways to heal. These events are life-changing and invaluable.

Stertil-Koni and Alan Tye & Associates will be taking part in the International Construction & Utility Equipment Expo (ICUEE) at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST on October 3-5, 2017. Please stop by booth 5126 to see Stertil-Koni heavy duty vehicle lifts.
